A look at the beauty from the ashes of our changing summer life...
I love to drive around Grand Forks in the early evening looking for the coloured light on the rivers. Every glance and angle tells me a new story and when I find the perfect timing when the coloured light hits the water and everything is glowing that's when I find my place...when all my problems, the world problems drift away with the gentle current.
The copper sunset
Someone called my pictures "Hauntingly Beautiful" and it couldn't be more fitting for the circumstances we find the province of BC to be in right now. I feel a bit of guilt for sharing the beauty from the ashes of what is happening with the forest fires but on the other hand this is our current landscape. The smoke adds this diffused light which is for me the perfect coloured sunset but with it there is a loneliness and uncertainty of what could come.
